The Patient-Centered Health Advisory Council serves as a key resource for feedback and recommendations to IDPH, the legislature, and other stakeholders on issues related to implementation of Affordable Care Act initiatives in Iowa. Additionally, the Patient-Centered Health Advisory Council and Office of Health Care Transformation (OHCT) staff:
- encourages partnerships and synergy between community health care partners in Iowa who are working on new system-level models to provide better health care at lower costs by focusing on shifting from volume to value based health care.
- reduces silos of the health care system by convening stakeholders and leaders in Iowa, building relationships, and streamlining efforts.
The next Patient-Centered Health Advisory Council will be held on Wednesday, October 15th, 2013 from 9:30 - 2:00 at the Iowa Hospital Association.
