Let's Get Healthy Promotional Campaign

The Iowa Community Transformation Grant has promoted healthy messaging to Iowa communities through its "Let's Get Healthy" campaign. This educational campaign targets all Iowans, especially men over 50 years old who live in rural communities. Posters and radio spots from the various phases of the campaign can be downloaded for use in local communities, worksites, medical offices, and other placements.

I Will Protect My Heart

The first phase of the "Let's Get Healthy" campaign focused on cardiovascular health. It promoted blood pressure screenings, reducing stress, and lowering cholesterol levels.

Show Your Body Who's Boss

The second phase of the "Let's Get Healthy" campaign focused on physical activity. Walking is the physical activity that was highlighted in this campaign. The slogan for this campaign was, "Show your body who's boss, so it won't be showing you later."

Pouring on the Pounds

The third phase of the "Let's Get Healthy" campaign was adapted from the CTG program in New York City. This campaign focuses on sugary drink consumption.

The fourth phase of the "Let's Get Healthy" campaign was adapted from a campaign developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This campaign is entitled, “Our Community Deserves Healthy Food Options.”
